In the fall of 2013 Belgian dj/producer Peter van Hoesen released his 'Life Performance LP’ on Tresor. Even before Sandrien heard the album, she decided to ask him back to Trouw for a live set at Imprint. Sandrien: "His 2012 studio album 'Perceiver’ is more electronica minded, building up to techno tracks. With this new LP 'Life Performance’, he presents a to the floor and raw one take recorded set at Tresor. His on the spot hardware improvisation on the album is superb.”
Peter Van Hoesen is a regular guest at Imprint. This will be his fourth performance at Sandriens night in Trouw. "I have booked Peter for a dj set three times. Because of his excellent skills behind the decks, his profoundness, his warmth and his dynamic sets. Next to this, he is simply a great guy and good fun to be around.” Tonight Peter van Hoesen is on the bill with a live set. His performance will have the back-to-basics approach, that he started using at Labyrinth Festival in 2012. This also means playing new tracks that he keeps exclusive for his performances. Sandrien: "I attended a live show of Peter during ADE 2012. He played at Muziekgebouw aan het IJ, using the 4DSound system. He delivered a supreme and at the same time very modest elektronica set. It was super experimental, because Peter was playing with sounds constantly. Sounds got to me from all over the place. From left to right, from back to front, up and down. It was amazing and impressive to enjoy that show on such a sound system.”
His live set tonight is highly anticipated by Sandrien. "Peter is a multi talent. He works as a dj, producer, sound designer and composer for contemporary dance and theater. I admire the fact that he is able to succeed in all these disciplines. I am really looking forward to his set tonight!"
