Trouw is temporary and will close her doors forever on January 3rd. Trouw wouldn’t be the meeting place and breeding ground that it is today without the people working there day and night. This series puts various Trouw employees in the spotlight. From the light people, to the door host: all nodes of Trouw will see their place on the pedestal. Today: Lara - production manager at Trouw.
'Olaf is creative director and programmer, he books the artists. Once his signature is on the contract, I come into play. As production manager I am responsible for booking hotel rooms and flights, hiring technical equipment, planning the set-ups for VJs and live acts, putting the driver schedule together, and the technical timetable. I then summarise all of this in the ‘Night Bible’ − the roadmap.'
Before she worked at Trouw, Lara already had one of the scarce Trouw rings, which meant she could always get in for free. 'Whatever I was doing on an evening, I’d nearly always drop by. Even if it was just for an hour. An evening dancing at Trouw is like a work out, you can skip the gym.
I experience the evenings differently now, I'm always checking that everything happens as we had planned it to.'
