On December 11, we'll be hosting the last ever Art Bazaar. Throughout the years, we enjoyed working together with other locations on the area of classical and modern music. As far as we're concerned, these institutes definitely deserve a spot on this special night. The string ensemble Fuse will play in De Verdieping on behalf of The Concertgebouw on Thursday December 11, while The Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ will bring renowned pianist Saskia Lankhoorn to the Art Bazaar. The event is completely free, so be on time!
Fuse is a string ensemble located in Amsterdam and made up by three classical and three jazz musicians. The group can be characterizid by their quirky mix of classical music, pop and jazz. This makes Fusa an energetic live-act, which can switch from relaxing to musical depth within a heartbeat. Fuse could recently be seen in The Concertgebouw, whom also invited them to come play at the Bazaar.
On the other end, The Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ invited the Dutch pianist Saskia Lankhoorn. Throughout the years, she's performanced with the Asko|Schönberg Ensemble amongst others, founded her own label Ensemble Klang and won several prizes. This October, Saskia made her debut on the prestigious ECM label with Dances & Canons which was especially written for her bu the Australian-Dutch composer Kate Moor. Saskia will play parts of this album at the Art Bazaar. Hypnotic sounds waves filled with weathen panoramas of slow-shifting patterns.
Fuse and Saskia Lankhoorn will play on various spots in our building at the Art Bazaar of December 11. Entrance is completely free and we open our doors at 18.00!
