There’s not only room for established organizations and names at the Music Bazar on January 31st, but also for music yet to be discovered. We asked Patrice Bäumel and Nuno Dos Santos to come over and demo-speeddate with our visitors. That way you can let the pro's hear your music you’ve made at home and get advice from our residents!
Patrice Bäumel and Nuno Dos Santos are definitely no unknown to producing and handing in recordings of their own. After sending in a mix-cd in 2000, Nuno got invited to the Red Bull Music Academy, which was held outside of Berlin for the first time. Even though Patrice and Nuno only met later on, it can’t be a coincidence that Patrice received an invite for the RBMA in 2002 as well.
After releases on Get Physical, Trouw and Systemic, Patrice started his own label EX last year on which he tries to defy all types of categorization. Paying no homage at all to the traditions of house and techno, he is a free spirit within the sometimes regimented world of contemporary dance music. Nuno has also been very busy with his own Something Happening Somewhere label the last year after releasing tracks on Inflyte, Trouw and Compost Records throughout the years, either solo or with TJ Kong.
What do you have to do to go on a demo-speeddate with Patrice Bäumel or Nuno Dos Santos? Very simple: upload you track(s) to your Soundcloud or bring the tracks on a USB-stick. Come to the Music Bazaar on January 31st and have Patrice or Nuno listen to your tracks to provide you with some solid advice. We’re more than anxious to see what kind of tracks you’ll bring to the table. We start at 18:00, so be on time!
