Have you been dying to have a quick peek inside of the new Stedelijk, but so easily discouraged by the enormous cues outside when cycling past the Museumplein? No worries! The Stedelijk will be open for quite a while; and we want to share our alternative tip of the week with you: The pop-up exhibition ‘The Abandoned Animals of Fukushima’ by Yasusuke Ota at the Huis Marseille.
After the nuclear disaster in Fukushima last year, Ota photographed abandoned animals in the region hit hardest. A moving array of photos to go see with World Animal Day in mind.
This exhibition will be available for viewing up to the 14th of October; so definitely check this one out while it's still there! Oh, and with visiting this exhibition you are also contributing to helping the afflicted areas of Japan. Two birds, one stone.
