A year of red light radio

A year of red light radio

23-11-2011 | 14.34

The red light district has been rocking since last year, time to celebrate Red Light Radio's first year anniversary. Besides 'making love' they also make music in the red light district nowadays. The DIY radiostation Red Light Radio broadcasts music that's hard to find on your regular stations. A real haven for those looking for something new, a haven that almost wasn't there any longer thanks to 'the anti culture climate' that's ruling over Europe nowadays. But thank to god we can celebrate RLR's first anniversary on Friday the 2nd of December thanks to some major crowdfunding via 'voordekunst'.

RLR's regulars Awanto 3, Faberyayo, Wasted Years of Pumping Iron en Rege Satanas finally have a bit more space than the normal eight square meters they usually have. And that's a good thing, since most of them are going to play a live show.

Since the start of RLR international artists now have two reasons to come to the red light district. And we must say they all took this opportunity by the hands, since artists like Rahaan, The Gaslamp Killer, Ben Westbeech, Addison Groove and Rick Wade all made music out of the small, red lighted rooms. Though we are fairly sure this is really because of the enthusiasm of the guys behind RLR. Congratulations guys.
